It’s been a busy summer
The weather’s been great and so have sales. Currently Carolina Park has sold over 220 new homes. Thanks to all of our residents for making Carolina Park such a great place to live. Progress and upgrades continue throughout the community as we move forward with road and traffic improvement plans. Additionally, construction is underway on two new tennis courts at the Residents Club. These should be completed by the end of the year, so keep your rackets handy. The best news of all is that summer isn’t over yet. That means there’s still time to get outside and enjoy all Carolina Park has to offer, from walking and biking trails to acres of beautiful scenery and our Residents Club.
Back to school takes on a new meaning
You’ve also probably noticed that the Wando Center for Advanced Studies adjacent to the Wando High School campus is nearing completion. Now it is actually open for the 2014-2015 school year. The 130,000 square-foot academic building will accommodate up to 600 students, bridging the gap between high school and college while providing advanced technical skills and training. The new facility encompasses both classroom and lab spaces for programs such as Automotive Technology, Horticulture, Cosmetology, Health Care, Public Safety/Emergency Medical Services, Childcare, Biomedical Science, Film/Multimedia and Visual Arts. The building will be shared with Trident Technical College for after-hours instruction, providing high school students with the opportunity to begin earning college credits. This is truly a showcase facility for our region, and Carolina Park is proud to have played a part in bringing it into existence.
