We’re happy to report that the entire Charleston region is recovering nicely following last week’s storm. Carnes Crossroads fared particularly well, and it’s safe to say our underground utilities and comprehensive land plan served us well - we experienced no power outages or flooding.
As you can see from this bird’s-eye view, our first neighborhood is virtually complete. In fact, more than a hundred families are living here or in the process of building their home in St. Thomas Park. Meanwhile, our newest neighborhood, St. James Park, is taking shape along the edges of our community’s first lakes. The Northwood Academy campus is bustling with activity now that the Academy’s Upper School has relocated here, and construction is underway on the Academy’s Lower School facility. Northwood Academy and Church are joined by a diverse selection of medical providers, offering the first of many services and conveniences planned for Carnes Crossroads.
Neighbors, schools and conveniences - combined with outstanding parks, trails and amenities: All of the essential elements of community are coming together at Carnes Crossroads!

Community Comes Together to Fight Childhood Cancer
More than a thousand people gathered at Carnes Crossroads for the Charleston St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer September 24, part of National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Waves of colorfully attired teams streamed out along our community’s roads and scenic trails for the lively 5K event. The Lowcountry rallied big in support of the mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, with 79 teams raising over $82,000 in donations, well exceeding the $70,000 goal. Thank you to everyone who came out to participate and support the event! Click here for more details and photos from the day.
